Driven to Find a Cure...
In the lab and on the track, the Driven team is dedicated to improving the management of diabetes, and the lives of those affected by it. Help us in our mission to end diabetes by donating to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The Driven team is comprised of a stage rally team, a karting team, and a road racing team. This diverse motorsports platform provides a broad platform to raise awareness and funds for diabetes research. The team's priority is to raise funds for the JDRF, the nation's primary non-profit organization funding diabetes research. The entire Driven team has close links to diabetes and diabetes research, which makes this a personal and professional endeavor. Our goal is to raise a total of $50,000 to support JDRF research in 2015. Each race that the driven team participates in provides an opportunity to raise funds for the local JDRF chapter that serves that specific community. In addition to fundraising, the team provides education and outreach opportunities for the local communities hosting races. The rally and stock car teams in particular focus on these outreach efforts. With ride alongs for donors and children with diabetes, these events provide an adrenaline filled opportunity for donors and patients to learn more about research advancements, and the importance of diabetes research. “Like every person on the Driven team, I have a personal link to diabetes. My father was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 39 years old. My goal is to end diabetes by the time my son is 39."
